Gibsonton, Florida – One of the fastest growing areas in Hillsborough County
Gibsonton is an unincorporated area in Hillsborough County which was originally famous for being the offseason home of carnival and circus folk most notably performers of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Original ordinances allowed for people to keep their more tame wild animals like elephants, monkeys and horses in their front yards. The area is growing exponentially, between 2000 and 2010 population increased by 62.6% according to U.S. Census Data.
