Gibsonton, Florida – One of the fastest growing areas in Hillsborough County

Gibsonton is an unincorporated area in Hillsborough County which was originally famous for being the offseason home of carnival and circus folk most notably performers of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Original ordinances allowed for people to keep their more tame wild animals like elephants, monkeys and horses in their front yards. The area is growing exponentially, between 2000 and 2010 population increased by 62.6% according to U.S. Census Data. The increase is being complemented by state of the art master planned communities like; Carriage Pointe, Kings Lake, and Tanglewood Preserve. These communities are being complimented by great public schools like Corr Elementary School, Eisenhower Middle School and East Bay High School educating the children in the area. Another aspect that makes Gibsonton so popular is proximity; it’s less than 30 minutes from Tampa, Brandon, St. Petersburg, Clearwater and Sarasota.
